Navigating Dual Careers in Law and Acting – New Podcast

Rachel Hemelryk Karl Wilson

We are delighted to share the second episode from our three-part podcast collaboration with Crafty Counsel. Crafty Counsel are a growing network of in-house legal professionals, connecting individuals from across the world. Crafty Counsel organise content, resources, and events for those working in in-house legal teams, to help them achieve their professional and personal goals.

In this episode Re:link consultant, Karl Wilson, sits down with the Founder of Crafty Counsel, Benjamin White, to discuss his journey navigating both his legal and acting careers. Karl is a Linklaters’ trained lawyer, who qualified into the Derivatives and Structured Products team in London. Since 2004, Karl has been working as a legal consultant, and since 2015, he has also juggled life as a professional working actor, having trained at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school and the Royal Academy of Music.

In this conversation, Karl shares how he juggles life as a lawyer with his acting commitments. We are so pleased to hear Karl talk about the benefits of the Re:link platform and how being part of Re:link has helped Karl to juggle both of his jobs. This is an inspiring episode for anyone inclined to explore a new passion or interest, or for those who would like to hear a first-hand account of how the Re:link model can support a life outside of law whilst still offering access to high-calibre legal assignments.

In this episode we also hear from our Re:link Talent Manager, Rachel Hemelryk. Rachel shares some of our recent Re:link success stories and discusses why we’re so passionate about our platform model.
